How to practice Englsih
Several ways to make your English more fluent
How to dream in English
Today I watched a quite useful clip about English practice on TikTok. Here I sum up the tips covered in it.
- Pick any pic from your camera roll, talk 30 seconds about the pic. The only rule is Don’t Stop . Here are four talking points you can talk about the photo:
i. The setting
ii. The character
iii. Color/Shape/Texture
iv. How does it make you feel
- Street sign snap. When you see a street sign that you like, snap a picture and then make a sentence using one word in that picture.
Translate your phone into English if you haven’t do so
- Thinnk in English. When you walk round and see something, try to express your thoughts in English. Directly do so instead of translating from your native language.
Compliment strangers (but sliently).
Go to an English Country and speak to the native everyday.
-
Enlish Dreambook. Try to keep a dream book: when wake up, record/describe your dream in that book. You can also record your what-if thoughts in it (what if the sun rise up from the west?).
-
Emotions help you remember. You can watch funny comedy or documentary on BBC (David Attenborough is recommended) or listen to Podcast about topics you love or read books you love or music you love (learn from lyrics).
-
Be patient. Just do it, do not hesitate.
